Why do Girl Scouts wear Uniforms? http://www.tanasi.org/WhyGSWearUniforms.asp UNIFORMS ![](Resources/tshirt.gif) The girls in our troop wear a Troop T-shirt, and Junior Scout sash with insignia. Troop T-shirts are $5 or $7 (depending on size). I can make these, or send supplies home for girls to make their own. Girl Scout Insignia, and Junior sashes can be purchased at the Council shop, or online at www.girlscouts.org. You can also buy many of the items at Boscov's, and Kelly Sports. If you need financial assistance, let me know and we can apply through the council. Uniform shopping list: * Sash * Council Identification Set (goes on the sash) * Troop numbers (1572, goes on the sash) * American Flag Patch (optional – goes on the sash) * Troop Crest patch - Waterfall (voted by troop 10/05) * Junior insignia tab (this is optional to hold the pins, or the pins can go directly on the shirt – if you buy the tab, please remember that it is made of felt, and NOT to wash it!) * Junior Girl Scout Pin (Traditional Trefoil Pin)
(New Members will not have Rainbow or Wings patches. The Rainbow is earned through steps to Bridging from Brownies, and the wings are earned by having had been a Brownie Girl Scout.)
